#0062 This Tuesday Is #DayofGiving
Support Inlandia Institute's books program December 3rd, 2024
Dear Reader,
This Tuesday is the annual #DayofGiving, which falls on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the US.
Inlandia
Among its multifaceted community endeavors, the Inlandia Institute is a small nonprofit publisher without the backing of any university or larger organization. A true indie publisher!
Did you know? This weekly newsletter is one way Inlandia supports creatives. Even if you aren’t a member of Inlandia’s 100 Rejections Club, you can subscribe for free.
Did you know? Inlandia doesn’t charge submission fees for its online journal. Makes for a free way to embrace rejection! (Or maybe even get your art, creative nonfiction, fiction, and/or poetry published.)
Did you know? Inlandia also publishes books. Check out some of the covers in the graphic! Though the poetry and prose competitions have fees (with fee-waiver options), there are free submission windows for manuscripts, from novels to memoirs, hybrid or experimental, and so much more. (Also, no agent required.)
Inlandia Books has been steadily growing. But right now? It’s having growing pains. Inlandia is committed to paying fair wages to the book designers, copy editors, and cover artists. Those freelancers as well as dedicated publications staff ensure Inlandia publishes books that are beautiful inside and out.
Please consider helping the Institute get closer to the Inlandia Books GoFundMe $10k goal (or copy+paste: https://gofund.me/518c871c or use the QR code).
With gratitude,
Erin
