Before you submit, be sure to read advice about basic submission guidelines rules & regs to follow (#0087). For instance, IJ asks that submissions be anonymized. We also have maximum word counts for prose (different limits for creative nonfiction and fiction) and line counts per poem.
Be brave! Be bold! As writers and artists ourselves, IJ editors treat every submission with consideration and care. Take a chance to get published — perhaps for the first time — or add to your race to 100 Rejections. Either way, it’s a WIN-WIN.
